I've just noticed something I do alot

Whenever I'm thinking of something that has to do with the game while playing it (e.g. whether i need to pay off a loan, which villager asked for the bug i caught, if i need to log back onto an alt, etc) I always make my character do the thinking thing by opening my inventory (I do have the emote but it's faster to open inventory) as if the character himself is thinking as well. Never realized how much I actually do it until today, just thought it was funny enough to share.

Does anyone else do something similar to this? I think it's interesting how I randomly got into the habit of doing it.

I don't do it consciously, but when I start mulling things over while playing I also open the inventory screen haha. I think it's more because I'm used to pausing in other games? idk

Not exactly, at least not intentionally. Sometimes I'll leave the character in that "pondering" pose to give me time to get my brain out of neutral.

Yeah I think that's my case too! I always like to pause in games to think about my next move, place to go etc so I guess I sort of do the same with ac as well now that I think of it

I do it because it feels odd if I don't. Feels like time stops when I do open inventory than just letting my character sit there.

Ahh, this is so cute, everyone. I had to pick up my DS to recall what I do, which is hit the home button, but I'm going to change to opening the inventory now! Thanks!

not the exact same thing, but sometimes i do use my emotes to express my emotions to my bear cub friends
