I just found out today that villagers can forget playdates just like you :l

Chief asked to come over, so I said sure, but he didn't show up. After about 5 minutes of waiting and trying to leave/enter my house repeatedly I went to where I last saw Chief. He was still outside his house, and when I talked to him he basically told me he forgot to come over. xD I've been playing this game for almost 3 years and I'm still learning new things.

Did you open your gates? I've found they cancel on plans when you do that, but it's only happened to me when I'm the one meant to visit their house.

I forget to go over to villager's houses all the time, so it's a relief when one of them forgets xD I feel like less of a jerk then

I always say no to play dates right away because I always forget to attend them. I find this hilariously ironic. XD

that happens if they are walking in town and you are too at the same time.
you gotta run in a house or town street , so they have go back in their house.

That's the thing though, I went into my house before the meeting time, and when it had come and gone I hadn't gotten a visit, that's when I tried leaving and re-entering a few times. I finally gave up and went looking for him xp

When did you open the gates? Did you open them after you had arranged the time?

Sometimes when I've agreed to meet them, but don't feel like playing, I will deliberately open them so they cancel on me.

I have had it happen to me and there was nothing preventing it from happening either. Bob was suppose to come to my house at five and I was in my house waiting, so then I left out the door and came back in hoping that might help but no. I saw him just walking around and he said sorry he got caught up doing something. I don't remember what it was but I was a little bummed.

i've been playing acnl for years now as well and i learn a lot of new things all the time too.
