-I personally don?t like several of the deer villagers. I don?t get the love around Bam, Bruce, and others. They?re blue. That?s it. What?s so special about a blue deer? I get that deer are majestic and are in one of the top most favorite animal species of villagers in this forum, but this is asking a bit too much isn?t it? Perhaps I don?t favor their kind of blue, or maybe blue doesn?t go well with their models.

-The Balloon Set sucks. I hate how the bright colors clashes each other and it doesn?t go well with other sets other than the kiddie set. The only good thing for their use is Pietro?s house, and also the balloon dog lamp if used alone.

-I?m tired of seeing pastel towns. Not that I?m against them or anything.

-I feel like the only person who just wants the tissue box and nothing else on the milestone list of rewards.

-I hate how you can only put one windmill in your town. It defeats the meaning of my town. I just want a town full of windmills and trees.

-Not only Deer, I also dislike several of the Squirrel villagers. Some of them are in high tiers. I?m sorry but Static?s colors do not go well.

-Towns with only one species in them are boring. There is no variety.

- What's the point of tier lists? I don't like how people turn other villagers away just because they're not good enough.

- Those so-called 'superhero' villagers look like race drivers. But then again, not all heroes wear capes.

- Hacking towns and time travelling isn't as horrible as people make it out to be.

I know though that it's controversial to say something against plot resetting because people worked and continuously work hard for it, but really, there's nothing that special with lined up houses. I just hope some don't feel a bit pressured because they saw a town with house all lined up in one same spot. Your town is not inferior because your villagers live far from each other. I personally would get bored of the idea of having a designated neighborhood, no offense. I'd want them scattered.
Not that I'm against plot resetting, or influence where they move, I do it too... but only to an extent. Where they wouldn't place their house somewhere awkward or uncomfortable for them or me. Since, my town is 90% complete & filled, I just don't want them to move behind a building or an orchard. I just would NOT bother moving out most of them only to move them back in with a new designated spot so they're lined up. Too much work for me, and they'd feel like a different villager by the time they come back, they don't even know me anymore so what's the point.

-tier 478237 villager Peanut > "tier 2" villager Poppy

-tier 999999 villager Colton > tier 1 villager Julian

Nothing against Poppy & Julian I'd still want them in my town, but when I saw Julian for the first time, I was bothered that he had his eyes closed most of the time & I couldn't stand it

-Diva IS fabulous, your problem with frogs is YOUR problem, not theirs

-Punchy & Bob are a thing

-The villager tier list was a Government conspiracy orchestrated to cover-up the fact that Punchy the cat is the #1 villager. Their end-goal was to make all towns have Marshal, Merengue, Ankha, Marina, Stitches, Beau, Fauna, Chief as much as possible to make people get sick of them. Only until they realize the black & white sleepy cat, Punchy, is above all of them and question the accuracy of the said list. By the time the tier list would've vanished into the oblivion, the players have already spent millions of bells & TBT buying the expensive dreamies. What they didn't know is that Marshal agreed to be #1 on the list to have his instant popularity despite only arriving in 2013. Luckily for Punchy, a percentage of the profit is being donated to his endless supply of Buche de noel after he signed off an agreement knowing he couldn't handle the fame.

Since we are going for controversial here....

• ✧ I dont like people complaining about others making a certain type of town or saying that X is boring. Let others do what they like. Just because you end up in a lot of pink/pastel towns doesn?t mean there is a limit to how many of these can exist. No one owns a certain style so let everyone make the town they adore, don?t make them feel bad to choose what they like!
  
• ✧ I dont like most villagers and for me its mostly about their looks. This goes for a lot of the popular ones too. When I decided who moved into my town, I looked at all the existing amiibo and picked who I liked most...
  
• ✧ I?m super salty that they cut the gyroid storage from New leaf, yet many people don?t even seem to know it existed in City folk..
  
• ✧ I dont like people talking to my villagers if I don?t know them. Its annoying if my villagers keep telling me about strangers I once traded with...
  
• ✧ I don?t like to look at houses that have ?functional? rooms. People can do what they like but I would never designate one of the rooms in my house to be a kitchen...I like to display certain themes in one room (plants, toys etc.), often coordinated by colors. My character does not have stats so I dont see a point in having a kitchen, a bathroom or a bedroom in my house - and yes I feel a bit strange about that

Surely there are more things and I will come back once I have more.
As others have said, please dont feel offended and do what you love. Just because I dont like to see certain villagers or concepts doesnt mean that should bother or influence you.
I only care if people go out of their way to make others feel bad/inferior for liking something.

Completely agree with everything... except th Isabelle one, but thats your opinion. I think its adorable that she?s made to look like a living bag of bells.

✧ adding now....I think Roover looks creepy. When I had to start a new character multiple times recently for cycling...I noticed how irritating his eyes are. They are so large and have small, red pupils...I feel like he?s staring right into my soul...

•Snooty villagers are kinda mean to me, ESPECIALLY WHITNEY. I DON’T CARE THAT YOU WERE IN THE ANIMAL CROSSING MOVIE. THANK GOD YOU MOVED OUT OF MY OLD TOWN. PLEASE DON’T COME TO BISTRO

•Kapp’n has a wife, so why does he keep saying that I look cute or stuff. Like stop. I’m telling Leliani (before y’all say “why can’t a guy be nice” mind you it seems like flirting, and again HE HAS A WIFE)

•Mira is underrated. Why do none of you talk about her?

•Marshal is overrated, but I have him in my town and tbh he is pretty chill. Never goes over the top (I’M LOOKING AT YOU KAPP’N)

•Cranky villagers are underrated (in general). Also, why is T-Bone in Tier 5/6? He’s in my town, and he is so nice!

- As I started trying to collect Amiibo cards I realized I don't like some of the villager species. I'm not fond of Gorillas, Monkeys, Rhinos, Koalas, Anteaters or Deer. There are a few exceptions that I like but for the most part I'm just not interested in these groups.
- I love Ankha but I fell in love with her before I ever found this forum. She was one of my original villagers. I had another villager who would make the rest of my villagers sad or make them cry on a daily basis. One day I walk up on a conversation the mean villager was having with Ankha and she made him cry. I've loved her ever since. I wouldn't care if the whole AC community hated Ankha. I'd still love her.
- I don't like people selling hacked hybrids. I've spent a lot of TBT and IGB on hybrids to find out some of them are hacked. I'm not against hacking at all. I just wish people wouldn't sell hacked flowers.
- I don't like when others make people feel their town is somehow less special than another town. Unless someone hacks 2 towns to be exactly alike in every way there are no 2 towns that are the same. Each of our towns is special & unique. They're all designed by individuals who've used their creativity, time & toil to create them. Whether hacked or not, pink to the max or muted color hues, natural or urbanized - each town is a work of art. As a community we've created a treasure trove of one of a kind gems.
- I don't like when people try to make me feel bad because I don't TT. I have nothing against TTing. In fact, I'm in awe of those who do it. For whatever reason, I can't bring myself to do it. I know it's safe if done properly. I know it's super helpful. For me though - it's anxiety inducing. I get the shakes and feel sick when I change the time on my 3DS for Daylight Savings Time. I don't understand why some have felt the need to get mad at me or mock me for not wanting to TT.

Oof, here we go:

1. I don?t give a damn about ?loving villagers for their personalities, not looks?. They?re not the same as people. They are divided into groups of the same personality and if they behave the same way, why would I want an ugly villager over a cute one?

2. The gorillas and hippos are ugly and I despise them with my whole being.

3. It is not a crime to like ?popular? villagers. I get hate all the time for having high tier villagers in my towns and the truth is it?s not my fault I like the same villagers as a lot of people. (Nor is it a crime to like low tier villagers. Everyone has opinions!)

4. People should really refrain from making a dream town until they?ve worked at least a little bit on it. I?m tired of wasting 500 Bells on a town that?s barely been created and is basically empty.

5. Just because pastel is a popular theme doesn?t mean that a person who chooses that theme is ?unoriginal?. Same idea as the popular villager thing, basically. People like what they like. Move on.

6. Hacking is someone?s personal choice and should not be hated on. In fact, I think it makes towns look really good if done correctly.

7. Just because someone has more Bells than you doesn?t make you automatically entitled to their riches. This happens so much on Club Tortimer and it annoys me.

8. I don?t understand people who do those challenges where you just go with whatever town and villagers you get and try to obtain everything by your own means. Not only is getting rare items near impossible this way, but who has hours and hours to constantly hunt beetles on the island for Bells? There are way more productive ways to spend your time.

9. It?s perfectly acceptable to have rooms dedicated to one theme or set. You have limited space, so why waste it on a bathroom that can?t be used? I mean, your character can?t even shower or do normal things you do in the bathroom. Same with a kitchen, your character can?t cook either.

10. Basic town rules are logical, not stupid. People are often dishonest and downright jerks when they visit. Who wouldn?t want to protect their flowers, possessions, and trees? Not allowing conversation with villagers seems odd to me, but if it?s the town owner?s rule then you should follow it.

11. Marshal is the best squirrel. Fight me.

12. The PWP placement method is horrible. How hard is it to implant a feature where you can pick the exact spot on the map where you want the project?

13. We need more unicorn villagers.

14. The path placement method is so tedious it takes the fun out of decorating.

15. The whole thing with Lyle?s assistants sneaking into your house to evaluate it is creepy AF.

16. Kapp?n is probably a pedophile.

17. What is the point of having a game highly centered on interacting with others when friend code sharing is banned? The island is the perfect place to do this and yet Nintendo restricted this ability.

18. We need more space to hold paths. Seriously.

19. The megaphone is dumb.

20. We need a more efficient way to organize our closet, not to mention a lot more space in it.

i'm over people constantly talking about villagers they hate. it feels like there's always a new thread about it. they're just pixels, it's not that deep like even as a joke it's overexposed and stale af. (and i have my personal villager preferences also so)

i'm also tired (okay, probably disappointed tbh) of people acting like this game should hand you everything. you want to plant your bushes wherever? you're tired of plot resetting because you want to control every aspect of your town down to the pattern the grass makes when it wears away? you're tired of villager rng? you're literally mad at isabelle for not letting you put pwps wherever?

idk man. sure, a lot of that stuff is annoying but if i wanted to control everything, i'd play a pure sandbox game or w/e. i think that the challenges help me create interesting solutions that i otherwise wouldn't have. i think that's also why i didn't stick with happy home designer, it was too easy.

but that's just me! i get bored of games easily and prefer ones that are challenging. where's the satisfaction in badges and junk if earning them was easy.
