It was a dark and stormy night....

I woke up early this morning (not under my own volition, I'll tell you that right now) and I discovered that I forgot to save last night, so when I opened my ds I was having a lightening storm at 4am, and it was lovely!
I've never seen a storm at night before, probably since I don't play in the wee hours.
So I updated my da if anyone feels like visiting I haven't updated in a while so this is good.
Anyway, I need feedback on my town, I'm thinking about moving Kyle where the well is but that would mean starting over and I might as well get someone new if I'm going to start over with someone, but I've had Kyle since I started and he's the last of my starter 5, (I started with Pekoe also, but I've moved her house since then) and he's my buddy.
I'm also thinking about making my paths 1 tile width instead of 2 tiles, so I can set up more arches, but I also like being able charge around my town unrestrained.
Any feedback negative or otherwise is appreciated.

So I didn't go into any of the houses so I can't speak about them. But I think your town is nice with the stormy setting.

Only a few critiques or rather two things that bother me.

1. Kid Cats house placement. Seems like he's sorta isolated, not sure if that's intended. Or if that's a plotting accident, or maybe he was a starter.

2. Flowers and their color. Your town seems to have the forest theme and personally I'm not sure about the purple flowers. Though purple flowers are my favorite, just not sure they belong. But I will say this, with them in a forest town it's something different. I usually see just white, orange, red and black. So I suppose I'm 50/50 on the different colors.

I wouldn't move Kyle's house for a few reasons. One he's been with you from the start and if you got rid of him. So would his memories of you and that's a bummer. I also don't think his house placement is bad.

For the paths, you could make some of them 1 tile wide for arches. They don't all need to be 2 tile wide. I feel ya on not wanting to be restrained when walking/running in your town. I too have 2 tile wide paths cause I just feel the space is needed.

Overall I enjoyed dreaming of your town and can see you've really enjoyed making it.

1. Rizzo was where Kid Kat is now when I began, he moved in immediately when Rizzo moved away and I grew attached, Carmen used to be more or less where the zen bell is, but when she moved away I tried to put Savannah in the spot, but she wouldn't move in to that spot even though I plotted for 9 days (literally) but no go, so he used to have a neighbor. He always hangs out in my backyard (with everyone else) so I figured it didn't matter much.
(I'm still not sure I'l keep Savannah or Carmen because they both have blue and I don't have any in my town)

2. My flower colors, are red, orange, white, light purple and purple (with some black and yellow thrown in), my town's kinda sub-tropical forest, I agree, it doesn't look very nice with the early morning light but it looks really good around sunset (5-6pm) in the summer when the hibiscuses have bloomed though!

3. Yeah, my only real problem with Kyle is that there a blank space where the paths go, but since I blocked it with trees, you really can't tell.

4. I think I'll try single wide paths in a few places and see what I think about them, most of paths are against the river so there's not much wiggle room with pwps.

wow your town is super cute! i love the way you put stone paths mixed w/ 4 leaf clovers
the dark and stormy weather is really fitting for your town actually!

the only thing i'd change if it were my town is to have less diff colored flowers next to each other. I like to put just 1 or 2 types of flowers in a area or it looks messy to me. tbh some people might find my way boring though haha so it's just my opinion.
over all i love your town it's so cozy :~)

I sure hope so! You know we need it badly! I have a feeling it might be very wet this year, the other foot, if you will, since we got nothing all winter.

I can see that, I think it looks kinda messy since I use different types of flowers, but not all the colors are the same shade in all flowers.
Maybe I need purple tulips. ^^
