Islander Photos outside?

I have seen players display Islander photos in frames outside the islanders house. I have the photo I want but I wont let me display it outside only drop the item help.

Did you try putting it on a table?

I tried putting it on a log stool, is there a table that is small not so big that I can put them on? and when I display them do they automatically get put in a frame?

the framed photos are actually pictures the villagers give you when you have a high level friendship with them! they're the same pic as the posters but they're smaller and in a frame.

You're correct. We have a villager photo and poster. You can only hang posters on a wall. Both are obviously different items.
