Island Rules

Do you play with multiple family members or friends? If so, have you created any rules for your island?

We made some. That we all agree on public work projects (transforming the island), the small area next to our house is for us to decorate with furniture, etc. And to not destroy the last few rocks we have. lol

So do y'all? I mean I got my own town now but it's interesting.

e.e I would set rules but my kids and sister are savages xD which is why i finished setting up my island the way i wanted and let them do what they want without unlocking the terraforming... My sister has never played an animal crossing game, so she doesnt know all the functions which makes it easier for me. XD But i have made a few rules such as: Dont pick up furniture thats set down, Dont let anyone move unless I approve, and dont harrass the villagers too much xD

My husband lives on my island. He just likes to fish and earn money, but he also likes to troll.

While I don't have set rules, he does have to run his "ideas" past me hahaha.

XD sounds like my husband.. If he cant fish in real life, he does it in the game. Thankfully he hasnt been in my island yet hahaha

So far, my husband has...
- started an apple orchard that is so thick, you cant see anything underneath it
- planted bamboo randomly, everywhere...
- trolled me by chopping trees twice and not telling me so that, when I go to chop trees, only one thing comes out and I'm confused
- invited a villager that I do not like
- bought out Nook's Cranny (luckily, I didn't want anything)


I have had to clean up his messes too, just randomly dropping things on the ground and walking away lol

XD oh my goodness! Hes left trash before in my NL town e.e not too sure now if im even going to let him on my island now xD thanks for reminding me! Hahaha. Oh and hes done the bamboo planting before.. It had spread like wildfire..

I'm glad I helped! haha.

I'm going around and slowly re-planting all of the bamboos where I want them.

I had an island with like 5 other people and they got mad because I randomly left one tool on a beach. And when I say mad, really mad like "kicking you off our island" mad. That's when I just bought my own switch and game. I thought it'd be cool to play with my siblings but they can be complete losers. lol

Gosh your husbands sound so mischievous, hahaha. My husband also has a character on my island, and he'll usually play a little bit after he's finished with work for the day. For now, I gave him his own section of the island to do what he wants with, but told him once terraforming is unlocked, I'm probably gonna end up moving all of his things. We get along just fine and he'll ask me before doing anything major. I'm usually the one spoiling him by buying him things from the shops that I think he'd like. (For example, he's an avid go player, so when I saw the go board in the shop, I grabbed it for him. It completely made his day)

I'm not a very good sharer, so I'm planning on getting my own switch lite and getting my kid a copy of the game for her switch.
