I've been playing the game for 2 weeks or so now and I'm starting to think that I don't like my island's name, and I've got a lot more ideas... Should I reset? Also, if I do that, is it worth to time travel to get back where I was (Haven't finished main ''story'' yet)?

You should if you think it's the right decision. We're not even a month into the game yet and so far we only had one seasonal event (well, two if you want to count cherry blossom as a standalone thing) and fishing tournament. I've resetted my map for everything but the name and starting today I will work my way from March 20th to "today" while making the bare minimum progress as an exchange for skipping ahead.
Well I don't really have any other reason to reset my island, but when I get regret something I could've done better before I usually go for it. I mean, I know it might be stupid or not worth, but I want my island to be ''perfect''. Also, is there a chance in a future there'll be name changer or something like a coupon?
To be honest I'd keep the island name. You could go through the whole process of restarting to then not be happy with the new island name a few weeks later, being in the same situation as you are in now.
Yeah that's a good argument... I'm really having a bad time thinking if I should or I shouldn't do it, cause I've also been thinking all my progress will be for nothing and I don't really like the idea of time travelling. But still I have the urge to change the island name. This is making me go insanse.
I second this ^, especially because you mentioned:
I think you should be happy with a single name prior to even considering doing this. Restarting is just fine but even doing a task and TT'ing forward until you get back to real-time takes a while, so I'd think good about it first otherwise you'll just be stuck in a cycle of restarting. It's not just your name you'd be resetting, it's your villagers, town layouts, airport colour, native fruit, native flowers... you get it, just make sure you're definitely making the right choice!
I didn't mean for it to be a argument, just a different perspective on the situation. Replaying the game like you said would demotivate you. I've noticed on the forum a lot of people are already not enjoying the game as much. By you doing that you'd be more affected by it.
Yeah I might just keep it cause I was about to get terraforming and that's the part I like about the game.
And yes this is the main reason I'm not changing it, cause I know what will happen xD.
