im planning to reset my island soon but i want a good name picked out first, im going for a name that will fit every/most themes, as i want this island to be my forever island that i will flatten and redecorate with many themes, i would prefer no references to games or shows as i've already done that with many of my islands please help thank you! : )

Well if you're making this island and plan to keep changing the theme you would want something basic. But even mine that was basic with it just being Cedar Cove might feel like a name that holds you back if you try for a theme that is industrial/suburban.

Maybe something like Somewhere/SomeWhere, Elsewhere/ElseWhere have a nice ring to it and neutral enough so you can work it in any direction.

yes thank you : ) i love the suggestion of Somewhere!

I usually just choose a word I like and then add ‘cove’ ‘acre’ ‘isle’ ‘land’ ‘view’ ‘more’ etc until it sounds right. That’s how I landed on Lilyacre as my island name.

I think Nutshell is a cute name that could go well with a lot of island themes/designs. I like the tagline of ‘in a Nutshell’ being a sort of mantra for the island.

This was a nice little tought activity for me and I landed on the idea of names that are a "mixture" of things. Here are some of the things that came to mind:
•Medly
•Potpurri
•Patchwork
•Opal (the gemstone with multiple color hues)
•Variety (I know this doesn't sound like a nice name for an island lol but maybe changing it to something like Varity Island still gives the illusion of "variety" without sounding as "harsh")
•Wonderland (I know you mentioned you didn't want any names to reference popular media, but I feel like the name fits well for having multiple themes, so I just wanted to mention it last)

I also second the other user's suggestions of maybe adding more to the name like Medly Cove, Patchwork Acre or Opal Island/Isle. Tbh I hadn't thought of that myself, but they do make some of the names feel more complete.

Good luck naming your new island!
