Island hopping to get Cyd

I've seen a few people post the villagers they run in to while island hopping for some data collection. Maybe it's proven that there isn't a specific pattern but I wanted to contribute to this anyway :^).

For reference, my island has:

I sat on it for a hot minute! I chose to continue looking for Cyd though because he can't be amiibo'd in so it'll be more difficult to find him for now. I have Tia, otherwise I would've taken Margie!!

I hope you find him! I wish the island was as forgiving as the campsite. Supposedly with no cranky in your town you'd be more likely to find Cyd via campsite because it would give more crankies if I remember correctly. This should carry over to the island tours imo... But I guess it's also nice to have the choice to see more crankies or the choice to see literally anything...

i hope you get him, he's so underrated its criminal, i never paid more for a villager than i did for him (46 nmt because i was tired of island hopping lol) but it was 100% worth

I actually saw Cyd tonight...and Ellie. I thought about taking them both but didn’t because I was looking for June and found her not too long after. They’re great elephants actually. The time was in afternoon/early evening. Good luck!

I had a friend looking for someone selling Cyd for me so I happened to get Cyd from someone after a bit more searching! I'm still updating the original post for data collection n stuff!
