Island designers and terraforming

Hi there
I was looking around at a few island designer programs and was wondering what are your favorite ones? There seems to be at least 3-4, including a 3D one, from what I found from a resource thread on here. I would love to hear your opinions!

Also, when you began or are currently working on your island, terraforming, moving buildings/houses and such, what steps do you tend to take? For example, do you wait until all 10 villagers are there? After a house update? When is it easier to begin designing?

Honestly I'm using pen and paper (tried using the Happy Island Designer github and couldn't really get it to work).
I still find terraforming intimidating and my ideas aren't 100% concrete so I'm working really, really slowly on small bits at a time.

My favourite island designer is my drawing app on my ipad lol
I'm extra, i know, but i find it much easier to trace over a screenshot of my island and edit it from there and then try and translate that into the game
