Island area ideas for snapping turtles?

I've got eight of them now and I want to do something fun with them. Too many to keep as pets, and besides I already have my paper tiger for that. Used to have them hang around my old bamboo area, but now they just chill by the river with my extra hybrids.

I was thinking of using part of my beach for them, though that feels a bit off because they're river... creatures. Maybe they're taking a vacation to visit their sea turtle cousins? Idk

Other idea I had: replace the garden gnomes that guard my crafting tables with the turtles, then move the gnomes to my forest to become... dwarves?

...The gnomes use the snapping turtles as noble steeds??

...Cash em in for a cool 40k bells???

I want to see!!! I had snapping turtles but I traded them in for the model. The actual fish(?) is so much better than the model.

it sucks that you cant place item on top of it like with the aquariums. than you'll truly have a gnome riding a turtle.

I saw a hilarious picture somewhere where they made a picnic blanket and the 2 snapping turtles were having a date. Maybe put a picnic blanket with some flowers and food

Okay I just thought of this now but create a circle pond with a little land in the middle and put the snapping turtle there like it's resting in the sun!

Same, I never want to sell any of mine! Honestly, that's probably what's gonna end up happening if I keep hoarding them I could make Sprinkle their queen, and headcanon would be she ends up moving on from her pop star dreams to become a world-famous turtle trainer

Lol. I’d say the world could use more turtle trainers than popstars. But that’s not a bad idea. You could set up the area around her house as some kind of training area.

Oh yeah, I never sell my turtles and I'll find random spots to place them around the island. There's also a few in my storage. I also have a main area they live which I like to call "snapper peak" where they live with their mama. This is in the back centre of my island but only the mama is visible for viewing on a main path. There's a secret entrance into the snapper's home that you have to jump into from the left. It's pretty much my purple flower dump at the moment but I'll make it nicer one day haha.

I have 14 of them.

Some are on the beach with a sandcastle, beach ball and sandpit.

Some are along the river with a few decoy ducks.

Some in the park around a pond, and some near a pond stone.
More around a waterfall.
A couple near the outdoor bath near the museum, and one in my yard near a dog kennel.

I have an area on a higher level which is kind of like an island so I made a snapping turtle sanctuary with bamboo, weeds and pond stones.
