Isabelle won't cooperate!

Yesterday I had the bridge here taken down to move it one tile to the right, but no matter where I talk to Isabelle, she always puts it in the same spot, No matter how far right I talk to her. Is there something wrong with that spot? I'm really confused... If anyone could explain what's going on here, that'd be great! This is why no-one likes the PWP system in this game...

I think that spot might be too wide to put it there. Unfortunately the bridges are especially finicky in this game.

Yeah, the bridge would be too close to the edge. Isabelle is picky, unfortunately.

The PWP system is majorly flawed in this game, honestly. What a waste of two days and 140,800 bells... arghhhhhhh
