I've seen at least one other mention of a Hawthorn, but I haven't seen anyone else with Larkspur as their town name.
Larkspur sounds really interesting! How did you came out with that name?I've seen at least one other mention of a Hawthorn, but I haven't seen anyone else with Larkspur as their town name.
I usually finish the work on my towns too early and then I get bored. So with Gelato I’m taking it slowly, not too much TT, landscaping day by day without overdoing it, just enjoying playing it everyday! It’s much more fun that way ^^My town is named Mochi! it's definitely not unique, as i've seen somebody else on the forum with that name, but I think it's a really cute name! i've had my town for over a year now, and I can't wait to start proper work on it. I think it has a lot of potential. :>
Oh wow 4 towns called Aoki! Are some of the people that used the sane name on this forum? It would be interesting if you contact them to ask if they had the inspiration from the same source as you ^^there's about 4 other towns called aoki, so i guess technically it's not unique, but it's not super common either. i think it's a cute town name and i think it's amusing (not in a condescending way, in a good way) to see other towns called aoki. i named it after vocaloid aoki lapis so i wonder if they had the same idea
Well I would be a little disappointed haha. I used to have a very common town name (bluebell) and that was too common for me so I recently restarted. What if someone creates a town with the same name of yours after you? And maybe they took inspiration from you. Would you be cool with it or disappointed?

Spelling a town name a little differently can be a good idea to make it unique even if the name it’s a common word, and probably no one else will spell it like that! I like the idea!Wysteria
it's spelt wrong for a reason (at least i think it is)
It's so cute to me! I think its unique, well atleast in my books
I remember reading in a post about the town you made in memory of your bunny. Bunifrey, am I correct? I remember thinking it was very sweet and you used to have a very cute artwork for it in your signature ^^I only have one unique town name, and that's because it was made up by my hubby in honor of our rabbit, Bun Bun.
Every other town I've ever had was just named after some TV show/book/video game I happened to be obsessed with at the time...I think the most popular name I've had is Gilead (but not because of The Handmaid's Tale...The Dark Tower).
I am Italian too, haha! That’s why I chose Gelato ^__^ nice to see another Italian AC fan in here!Gelato actually is ice-cream in Italian, I am biased but i love when people use Italian words to do things! ^__^
About my town's name... Aurora obviously isn't a unique name but i don't care so much, because the important thing is the meaning for me.
I have a tendency to name my towns after whatever I happen to be thinking of at the time so I'd say that most of them are unique as in "why would anybody actually want to give their town a name like that."
Catlips-I sometimes call my cat Catlips McGee and I think she might have been doing something strange at the time so I named my first ACNL town Catlips.
Stilton-I was thinking of cheese at the time. That town was almost called Parmesan.
Bam!-I was big fan of Emeril Lagasse's show Emeril Live!"Bam!" is his catchphrase.
Patorana-"Pato" means duck in Spanish and "rana" means frog ,also in Spanish.I had a concept for a town that was populated by five ducks and five frogs but it kind of didn't work out.
Smeg-Yeah,that's from the TV show, Red Dwarf.

Wooh really? O:
Ahhhh qualche italiano ! Sono commossa, finalmente posso parlare normalmente *almeno per questo post* senza diventare matta per una traduzione semidecente...!

You see, Candy, I thought it was a little rare... until I checked the list in Dream Suite xD. Turns out there’s quite a bit of towns named Komorebi! I’m not too disappointed about it because the word has a very lovely meaning, so I appreciate others wanting to use it too. :>
As for on this forum, I don’t think I’ve come across another town named Komorebi. Or, at least not to my knowledge. If anyone knows that there are more towns called Komorebi, then I’d love to know! ( ◠‿◠ )
Actually now seeing your avatar, your town name and the beautiful signature artwork, it made me very curious and later tonight I’ll visit your DA ^_^
