Hello TBTers, my question is in the title and I really want to know your anwers abput that because I'm thinking of creating a new character (I don't like the eye's shape) which will my main one and let the other one just for the public projects. What do you think about that ?
Note : I nearly have all my dreamies.

For me I play as my mayor because she has the appearance I like the most and she was originally based off of me so she has my name. I think it would be totally fine to play as a plain resident and if I ended up not liking my mayor at this point in my game (had it for a year and a bit) I would definitely just make a non-mayor my main focus.

I mostly use my mayor character! I think it would be alright if you use a side character as your main since there are only some differences, such as the power over PWPs, ordinances, etc..

its fine to play as a non-mayor character.

i play as my mayor bc i dont think i could keep up with more than 1 human.

I can understand not wanting to reset your town over that. If I were in your position, I think I'd just make a second character with eyes you like and use that one as my main, as well.

I play as my mayor. I like his eye shape and like being mayor. I am making more humans though, but I'm naming them things like "Hospital" so I have the aesthetic of having other buildings

I got really lucky with my eye shape, its the anime eyes

I play as my mayor because she has the most power. Plus, I like her design.

I play with both characters in my town because I can't ignore either of them ^^

I have two other characters and I'm not such a fan of my mayor's eye shape, but she has the power of the Public Works Projects and I'm trying to get all of the gold badges so I play as her most of the time. If I'm editing paths or changing houses I use my other characters, but otherwise I don't.

Because I play as my mayor most of the time, when I don't I sometimes try to build Public Works Projects and I get confused as to why I can't go into the back lol.

I use my mayor and second character pretty equally these days. I spend about an hour on each.

I was only playing as the Mayor but switch during the holidays. Played as Player 3 and the villagers were happy to see her.
The town has all of the PWP and the mayor is just missing a traveling/hosting badge (street pass doesn't count).
I still play the mayor first to keep up the friendship levels. Than I switch to the fun late night girl. First she works on some badges and than plays with the villagers. It's made the game fun again.

I think it's fine to have more than 1 character in town. It'd definitely be a lot more painful to reset imo, since you have almost all your dreamies.

I personally play with only my mayor, simply because I'm satisfied with just 1.

The only character I have in my town is my Mayor character because more houses take up more space in my town.
But even if I did have multiple characters, I would play with my Mayor because she's technically me and she has the authority.
