600+ hours and not even close.
I don't even know what I've been doing... running around aimlessly a lot, apparently. It takes me forever to decide on where to place things, and I change my mind a lot. I also get easily sidetracked with daily tasks or farming for this or that, that I forget to actually dedicate time to terraforming/decorating. I'm trying to focus more now, especially with the Dreamsuite. I'd like to have visitors at some point.
These screenshot contests on this site have actually been a big help and motivation to put some of my ideas into action.
As of now, my island is not even in a state in which I'd share its Dream address I hope to change that today or at least very soon, but right now I'll have to make due with a limited amount of items. I don't TT for game progress and therefor don't have a lot of the seasonal items which would fit greatly, also I'm lacking a lot of Redd's statues and DIYs which I'd like to have. Depending on whether or not there will be amazing new items released for Halloween, I might change up entire areas in the future.
I don't think my island will ever be really 'done', but I'd like for it to at least have a distinct concept of which I'm not sure if it is showing just yet.
Far from ever being done, and I honestly don't know IF i'll ever be done! I want my island to be something where I don't just finish it, and never work on it again. I want to keep working on it as updates come, and redecorate it over the months/years, so it stays fresh!!
I would say I'm probably about 50-60% done. I have some areas sompletely finished, a lot that look OK but I want to fix up or partially redo, and a few areas that are completely empty or are currently dedicated to flower breeding, but will eventually become something completely different.
i'm pretty much done with the outdoor decorations, i might add a few little things here and there but terraforming-wise i don't think i'll be messing with anything anytime soon. i'm also done with my own house, but i still have 3 others to decorate
I'd say about 80% of my island is complete? I have one area that I have no idea what to do with but for the most part my island is full, but whether it'll stay the way it is is a complete other matter
I recently overhauled an entire section of my island so it's more done now than it used to be, but the fact that I overhauled a whole area once means there's a high chance I'll do the same again! so I suppose technically yes my island is, for the most part, 'done' but it's likely i'll continue to change certain areas
My terraforming and outdoor landscaping is done for now. I'll likely change it up later on though. My island seems to go through big changes each season so I expect I'll find inspiration for something come fall and winter. I still have to work on houses though but I've always been slow with finishing interior.
Even sections of my island I think are done end up getting overhauled a few months down the line. My island will probably look completely different a year or so from now. I enjoy the process.
I'd say currently I feel about 75% done. I have some areas that I'm not sure what to do with yet but for the most part, I'm done! I'm not sure I'll ever really be finished, though! I keep changing my mind about things!
I am 450 hours in and I'm nowhere near done at all, I haven't even really started surprisingly enough. I have a lot of items, bells, and space but
w o w have I done nothing. I just made a wishlist today actually for some items I want, maybe I'll finally start building stuff up!
650+ hours in, and nope. Still struggling to decide how I want certain areas to look. Definitely not easy, but the front of the island is finished for the most part, minus the beaches.
I don't think I'll ever be 100% satisfied with my whole island though? I'm about 480 hours in and I've remade almost EVERYTHING on my island after 200 hours ingame. It looked like garbage before lol. What both helps and doesn't help is looking at other people's islands and creative designs and stuff. It gives me inspiration but some days I just want to delete my whole island and start over again (which I hope I'll never do I just love it too much) but do know that everyone has days they don't like their island.
No, it is far from it. I cant work on it currently because i am visitng a family member and left my switch home. I wont be able to get it back until a month or so. I am in no hurry though, i like the slow progress.
I'd like to have visitors at some point.
