Yes, I use my real name. The three alt players in my town are named after the three closest people to me in life as well.

all of my mayors names have had my name in it with extra letters. (just an extra fact about me here; my birth name is mi, i go by sydney irl and on the internet i go by shidonii)

i try getting my real name involved with a few things these days bc i feel bad that i never use the name that my parents originally gave me, so i use names like misaki or mimi

My name is Taylor, which is my real name. I don't really want my villagers to call me anything else tbh. A nickname some of my online friends use (split between that and my real name) of course is Balto, but I didn't really want them constantly calling me that, you know? I think I let it slide on Tomodachi Life though.

Everyone has really cute mayor names but I guess I'm just simple and want it to feel as personal as possible, so I just use my name.

Actually, yes. I generally do the same with Pok?mon games too. I like to play as myself in games where you create your character.

The mayor of my main, horror-themed town is named after me. I don't usually name characters after myself in games, but with Animal Crossing, I figured why not?

The mayors of my other two towns are from different video games, so no.
