My town recently corrupted and I couldn't be bothered to get my town back to where it was so now I thought if I time travelled a bit to get me started, would it be bad?

Well excluding my dreamies I've lost I thought maybe I could get a good start, it is really a bummer but I can't spend my whole 6 weeks doing nothing, I really do hate cheating so I want to ask all you if it is a really bad thing time travelling to get me back to where it was

I just said it is your game and you bought it so honestly you can do anything you want with it.
Your town was corrupted it's not cheating. I don't think it would be cheating in any way since its not using hacks.

And btw it really isn't self explanatory if you are unsure is it really? Yes I bought the game but do I reall want to get bored because I cheated, no so your advice wasn't really helpful apart from a little argumentative

Okay then that is your opinion.

I don't think people get bored after they unlocked every just saying this forum is mostly people who unlocked everything and are still playing so if you lose interest in the game after you unlock everything you shouldn't time travel..

Oops sorry I didn't see your second comment im sorry if it sounded harsh, your second was really helpful so thankyou

It's okay I tend to be blunt and negative with my opinion due to anger management issues.
Don't mind me too much. Try and see what I really mean behind my words.

For someone with an established town TTing could be disastrous if one isn't careful. Because I assume you have started a new town due to corruption issues TTing would be somewhat safer. The fact is TTing is a personal preference, if you choose to jump start your town to regain what you've lost the by all means TT away! ;)

I don't consider time travelling cheating, there isn't a way to cheat at this game. You just play it how you like. If it wasn't for changing the time and date I would never have unlocked anything or obtained any villagers because I wouldn't have been on the ds enough to do anything.
People can't really make you feel better about it though if it's not something you're comfortable with doing (despite there being nothing wrong with it). Games are supposed to be fun afterall

If you're just starting off and don't care much for the current villagers in your town, then TT is perfectly fine, would definitely speed up the process of getting things unlocked in the game rather than having to wait day by day. But for an established town, TT'ng slowly and constantly talking to the villagers you want in your town is key. More time consuming yeah, but it's safer.

I personally don't do it for my own reasons, but really, Animal Crossing is about your own personal enjoyment, it's not a contest that you can "cheat" at, really. The only reason it would be bad to time travel is if it negatively effects your own playing experience. If it makes it more enjoyable for you, you should do it!

I think it's fine! Like most other people said, if you don't value anything/anyone in your town very much, it's definitely a good tool... :-) I time travel often, but usually no more than a day at a time (I'm not a super dedicated player though).

I TT, especially in the beginnings of a town. It takes forever to unlock shops going day by agonizing day.

I'd advise against it once you get all (or at least most) of your dreamies, because time traveling can be dangerous at that point, in terms of losing any of your villagers.

I think it depends on the person's outlook. Is it bad? No, not necessarily. It can be bad though, like having time traveling accidents (Accidentally getting a villager to move out when you don't want them to, for example).

Some people think it defeats the purpose of the game or stuff like that, but I personally don't think so. If you don't time travel, it takes longer to get your town into development like you'd want it to. There are both ups and downs to time traveling. So, like I said, I guess it just depends on how you look at it. It's your game though, do what you want! c:

I feel like it's fine to time travel. As long as you feel ok with doing it you should do it especially if it makes the game more fun for you.

as long as you're not time traveling to bell hack (get tons of bells from the bank) then i don't see how it's a
big deal...sometimes when you complete everything in a day you want to skip ahead to the next day because
there's nothing left to do. beware though it can ruin the fun of the real-feel in the game if you're not careful
but skipping ahead or going back now and then for house additions/time of day/deliveries/etc shouldn't hurt
anything, i do it all the time :^)

It's your stuff, so nothing it stopping you. Some view it as bad, but in reality, it is just a game, and can help when you don't feel like waitinng.
