lets say I time traveled a week ahead from today. if i time travel back to the original date, will anything change on my island? will weeds grow, will villagers move out, etc?

Hi! So, I know in NL that time traveling backwards any amount of time would only count as 1 day forward. I think the same still holds up in this one (I've TT'd a month back for example with no consequences). Hope that helps!

also don't worry about villagers moving! i believed they changed it so that villagers will not move out without talking to you first so you can decide if they stay or not!

thank you both!

I think the daily Nook Stop won't reset to 50 miles (day 1). So if you time-travel backwards with day 7+ (300 miles), it'll still be at 7+ days.
Also, when TT a few hours back the flowers you water will no longer be sparkling. That's means they'll need to be water again, and you won't get any hybrids from backwards time-traveling.

If you go back to a seperate day, it'll count it as a new day. Your NPC visit won't change, but your stores will. It will also count to achievement, which can become nonsensical like earning 20 days on April 28th and then 50 days on the island on April 7th. And you can't change the date of the achievement, even if you quit and go forward to claim it.

I know travelling backwards rotts turnips and fills empty plots instead of moving forward. Well for me it can take a full week of timetravel to have someone take the plot, i may of broke it though i get the 'campsite villager message' and there is no camper when i go forward so im not gonna tt for a while...

I've TT backwards twice, and both times it didn't count as a new day, and just restarted the same day, or at least I think it did. I'm not as experienced when it comes to TTing in NH as opposed to NL where I TT'd often.

Regardless its totally different than NL, and in my experience really weird lol. for example: TT'd from Monday to Saturday, then to Sunday.
When I went to "Saturday" stores still had the same items for sale, and Isabelle didn't do any daily announcements. But when I TT'd forward from Saturday to Sunday it obviously counted as 1 day. But like I said, in my experience TTing backwards just restarts the day you were on and does NOT count as one day like NL.

I just tried it out to try to move things around quicker, just TT'd a little into a day and then back, and it looks like it doesn't treat it as a a full new day, as in Isabelle didn't give her usual speech and there was no new mail, and although I move the campsite yesterday when I went back a day nothing happened, but the ABD gave me the streak bonus and it looks like villagers were reset.

No it does not count as a new day. However, it does reset Nook Miles missions, shops and you can give your residents gifts again, I think?
