I heard you can TT 1 day back when you are plot resetting and place down a pattern then TT q day forward again and you can continue. Is this true?? I don't want to mess up anything.

Yes, as long as you haven't loaded the game with an established character, you should be able to go back to the day you invited the villager to move in without any problems. I've done it before by changing the DS clock and double checking with a new villager just to be on the safe side, before loading up one of my normal characters.

So if I invite a villager to move in then place patterns where I want the villager to move, it will plot there easily? I'm kinda confused by this.

Ah it works but because I kicked out the villager in the place I didn't want it the house is still there. It sounds like I'll just have to keep plot resetting then ;;

With the new update villagers don't plot on patterns anymore. Most people have covered their towns with patterns and left the spaces out where they want villager houses to be but mist of the time there is always that one spot that you forgot to put the pattern over.
