Whereas male are either cranky jock or lazy

It's true - except males can also be smug.

Yupp - that's why some villagers do things like call you "ladybro" (freakin' jocks) or act kind of high and mighty. It's also why you may hear a villager complaining about another one since their personality and another's may clash.

I wish there were males and females for all of the personalities; and it'd be cool to have other personalities too. I just noticed this recently and it has been bothering me a little.

yeah thats true! normal, uchi, snooty and peppy are always female, and smug, lazy, cranky and jock are always male i wish there was a neutral personality that can be male or female. i hope in the next game there will be some new personalities, that could be so cool

I think it would be cool to do this instead of having gender-fixed personalities like they always have. I think it would be funny to have lazy female villagers and jock female villagers. Peppy male villagers would probably become my new favorites in the whole game if they did that.

But I know that would mean a whole load of new villagers and the game would take a really long time to develop. But it's just a cool thought.

That'd be pretty sweet if you could turn a villager into a spiteful one by always pissing them off and stuff.

Aren't the female personalities just different varients of the males?
Jock/Uchi
Normal/Lazy
Smug/Peppy
Cranky/Snooty

Each personality type also requests specific public works projects, and there are some that any type can request.
