I'd would like to skip all the way to Halloween while not going day by day! But im worried one of my villagers will move when I do this but my brother says they won't and it like you just skiping a day! So does anyone know if its safe or not?

PS. If it does work I'll let everyone do the event with me

nah it should be fine. as long as it's not day by day, it'll just cause them to feel ignored or something

So its OK? Have you had past experience?

I think if you skip all of the way to Halloween, you do run the risk of losing a villager. I've never skipped ahead by a month or more before, though, so I could be wrong. There must be a reason why people always suggest going no more than two days ahead though, right?

Going backwards will only count as a day, but going forward does count each day. More than 2 weeks will mess up your hair and a villager could move if someone gets picked as the move prompt.

If there's someone you don't care for, it's best to get them to want to move and then skip as that should make sure none of the villagers you care about move.

Day by day is safer though as you can check with them.

Hmm that's right I need more opinions!

a whole month... i accidentally tt'd to the first of july instead of the first of august a while ago. i had to tt back to the 1st of august to fix it, and it just messed up my hair and triggered the leaving prompt and i just said stay lmao

I don't know everyone is saying deferent!

What Jennifer said is true, though, you could wait until somebody pings you to move, and then time travel. That would ensure that nobody randomly decides to leave without telling you. I've never lost a villager to time traveling, but I did take about a month-long break from the game, and in that time, Tipper moved away without telling me she was wanting to move. So I assume the same thing could happen if you time traveled a month ahead rather than just putting the game down and literally not playing for a month.

OK now I have two I accidentally skip to September 2 while going day by day! I need people with past experience!

I had a friend go a month by mistake and one of her favorite villagers moved. It just depends if you get unlucky or not to be honest.

Stormblader: If I were you, I'd just time travel day by day (or a few days by a few days) until I got to October. You need items that are sold in the Able Sisters' Shop all month long during October to pass some of the villagers' mini-games on Halloween, anyway.

yeah, i probably got lucky. i was good friends with all my villagers at the time too. plus i did go back at first so idk if the game registered that it was an accident somehow ahaha

I did it! Well I didnt goto Halloween but I got back to my current date! I guess the game registers it as a accident

This is correct. For example, I had a villager moving out in 6 days. I TTed back 6 days and they still said there were 5 days left.

I skipped ahead a week and had a villager in boxes...I wouldn't do it.

As long as you check your villagers every now and then you'll be fine. I did jumps in 4 days and had no problems.

My brother just told me that your freind's villager must have wanted to move before she TT and she didn't know! Haha my brother don't like being wrong
