Is this cedar sapling dead?

So I planted this sapling, but I forgot when... yeah silly I know.

But is it dead? Can't decide... never saw a dead cedar before so I don't see it..

if it was dead, it would hang to the left or right side and have a weird brownish-green color. that cedar sapling is fine

it'll either still be there or vanish like all dead saplings.
