Is this bug still occurring?

I restarted my island again out of impulse. I was looking online and there is this bug that some of you might know where Tom Nook doesn't give you the option to buy the tenth and final plot of land, and I was wondering if that bug is still occurring, I am kind of worried that I might encounter the bug, since I like having 10 villagers on the island. If I managed to encounter the bug, should I restart the island or try to find a solution? And if anyone has encountered this bug, what did you do to solve this, did it include having to restart it?

I don't remember hearing much about that, so if it does still exist, it's rare enough that I wouldn't worry about it.

I don’t think I’ve heard about this bug before. I think it had been fixed since nobody has talked about it recently.
