Is this actually true?

Peaches, Square, according to my catalog: Blue, Alpine, Astro, Classic, Exotic rarely, green, kiddie rarely, lovely, minimalist, modern, modern wood, patchwork rarely, polka dot, ranch rarely, regal, sleek, and that appears to be it!

Cherries, circle, cabin is common, stripe is common, Robo is common, I hardly see blue anymore, I don't see minimalist furniture, and I occasionally see lovely.

Seriously, I think you should be able to choose what group you want to see more next game, not have it randomly generate for you. Although the group mechanic should be a secret, I think it should synchronize with one of your options of town creation. Or they can just get rid of it altogether. I don't like seeing a polarized algorithm like this. Just like how other mechanics like the grass decay and animals moving, the algorithm where some items are sold more frequently than others. Although this should matter no more since I have all of the Nookling's furniture in my catalog, this is still a problem because it has annoyed me in the past.

I have circle grass and I have peaches

hmmm. This is a really interesting idea! I always wondered why other people frequently had stuff in their stores that I almost never get.

Yeah, it is something interesting, also annoying. That's why we travel to catalog missing items.

When I first heard about the group mechanic, I posted a thread on GameFAQs 7 months ago. The reason why it annoyed me is because I was looking for a lab wall to complete the mad scientist's theme, but all I saw were the neutral wall, Robo wall, cabin wall, green wall, blue wall, ramshackle wall, rose wall, lovely wall, and of course, the wallpaper that should not be sold at Nooks store (common wall). It may be stupid, but in my Idea Blog (a category of blog entries in the StarFall Press), I'm writing solutions about it.

heck yes it's annoying. I notice this the most in wallpaper and flooring. I always get the same ugly ones day after day instead of the stuff I actually like. Such as the neutral wall and floor, minimalist stuff, modern wood, ect. I have an abundance of alpine, robo, and patchwork though. :/
I get why they did it though, it certainly does encourage online play, otherwise I don't think I would've ever been able to collect half the stuff I have.
