Is this a glitch?

While Time Traveling ahead to try and get a villager to leave, I went backwards in time to today's date and hopefully transfer the thought bubble to someone else.
For some reason, all of the shops reset the available items to be completely different, and Kicks left the plaza and Labelle is there instead.

Is this a glitch?

Not a glitch. When the date changes to one in the past, the game considers that to be a different/new day, and will change and progress your town accordingly.
