Is there enough space to re-build this bridge?

The good news is that there's already a bridge where I need it, build prior to Kid Cat moving in right above it. But, I really want to replace my suspension bridge with a cobblestone bridge. I've dug some holes to help identify the spacing...if I destroy this bridge, will I be able to re-build one in the same spot, or is Kid Cat's house too close?

(PS no, I can't build it lower than where it is, because right after that curve is the south-facing waterfall)

I built a bridge after building a police station, near it, so I would guess so, maybe...

I hope I can, but I need to know for sure before I demolish, because I refuse to have this third bridge anywhere but this spot! D:

Hmm... It might be far enough from his house, but I recall trying to build a bridge near two villagers in a similar spot but houses that weren't visible from the area and it wouldn't let me, so hmmm... I guess if you wanted to you could demolish it, and try to build the new one but never save the game, that way if it doesn't work you can quit and keep the old bridge.

That would work if you could demolish it then rebuild it all in the same day. But you have to demolish it, save and quit, TT to the next day, and try to rebuild in the same spot.

I could use my powersave and just back up my town pre-demolition...that way if it doesn't work, I can just re-load the day before I demolished it. But I'd really rather avoid doing that, I don't like using my powersave unless I absolutely have to.

I don't think you can rebuild it there. A bridge has a really large buffer zone for some reason. I think it's at least 4 x 4 from each end, so Kid Cat's house is cutting it really close. I definitely wouldn't try it unless you use your powersave.

Here is a guide about it. I can't see the pictures for some reason though, so you'll have to figure it out yourself.

Ugh, thanks guys. Guess I'll just leave this bridge as a suspension bridge! I'm not chancing it.
