Is there another easy way to get PWPs instead of going to the sea and waiting??

I got quite requests a few by repeatedly loading the game up. Usually when the game loads, there's always a villager who'll ping right away. I filled my pockets up with flowers and just kept loading up and ran around to get a ping (or ran to a specific villager who I hoped would give me a certain pwp). Often the ping would be about a PWP. If the ping wasn't about a PWP I quit without saving and tried again.

I've wondered if there's a reason people swim out to sea for 5 minutes instead of restarting, because this method seems to take a lot less time.

I honestly wish I could say that there is a easier way but sadly there isn't :c

That's EXACTLY why when I first read about the reloading game method, I decide to try it! Wasting 5 minutes over and over just to get asked for a new catchphrases..grrrr

I don't always get a new ping after save and continue or after main street though. Or have I been giving up too easily and missing the ping villager? I do get a ping after restarting.

Sitting in the ocean or hiding in a spot for 5 minutes didn't work in my 2nd town.
First I walk around and get a ping. Than check on everyone. After that I just go about what I have planned for the town.
Last night I was adding lollipops along the pathway and Muffy ran up with a PWP.
Same thing happened while I was harvesting trees.

the ocean thing is quickest for me, i'm usually multi-tasking while playing

i think the ocean thing is fastest, but def if they ping you to change their phrases or anything make sure you change it for them so they stop bugging you about it.
