Is there another way to track badge progress?

Right now I'm still working on my medalist badge, weeding badge (both silver) and travel and host badges (bronze). As with most players at this point, getting the street pass badge is not going to happen unless I find a hidden enclave of players close together lol

My thing is for the medal and travel badges I've got no clue what my progress is right now. Host badge is easy thanks to the town tree, and I've got a ballpark range for weeds -less than 1000 to go- but I was wondering if anyone has a clue if there's a way to find the others if you haven't kept a careful count. Tall order, I know, but you never know when something random may pop up that you didn't see before

There is one very obscure way, and its through dreaming.

When you visit a town in a dream and talk to Porter, he will either say how many times the train station has been used for visitors or hosting. Porter will only say one of these when you talk to him, I think leaving the station will reset the chances.

However, this includes any and all hostings and visits, made by your mayor or not. And you also can't dream of your own town unless it has 2 separate dream codes which can be accomplished by having 2 seepate SD cards or really screwing up something in your systems settings, I'm not sure what it is.

For the medals, talking to Grams will show you how many you currently have. If you've spent medals with that character, go look through their storage, see what they bought, look up how much it costs and add that all up. The badge will count total ever earned, not just whatever you have on you.

Both are hefty tasks and weird, ok, but that's the only way I can think of.

Also, if you're ridiculously committed to getting all gold badges, if you have 2 3ds' and 2 copies of AC and just keep them on all the time together after 1,000 days you'll get the badge, as streetpassing the same person counts (I read in the forums) and it automatically streetpasses you again after a day.
