Is there a way to sort of decide who lives in your town?

Perhaps by resetting (By resetting I mean just to change who moved in that day, not resetting the entire game) or something? I see people talking in the sense that there is some sort of way to alter villagers..

Also if anyone has Shampoodle open may I please please PLEASE come to your town? D:

There is a way but it can be a pain in the butt sometimes. When you start a new day, DO NOT load up your main player, or any player at all. This will screw it up. Make a new player. When you arrive in the town, look for the reserved sign that means someone is moving in. Once you do, check who it is and if they are in a spot that doesn't interfere with your plans for your town. If you are satisfied, save the game and delete the character. However if you are not satisfied, turn it off without saving and repeat. You will get somebody new in a different spot (Hopefully. A lot of my villagers like to move by my house -.-'')

Also if you don't find a sign, turn it off without saving and try again.

And I don't have Shampoodle. Sorry.

Ah GOD. I wish I had known about this! The rainbow clown sheep, who I really wanted in my town, and I was ecstatic for, but he moved RIGHT NEXT TO ME! Ugh! It's horrible..

And does this effect house placement or the villager themself?

Edit: Missed your last sentence. That covers it all. Thanks!!

i know that feel. Muffy moved into a spot that's at the edge of a cliff, right where I was planning on putting my windmill. I love muffy and don't plan on making her move out yet, but man...
