Is there a hybrid breeding limit?

Spooky.

I've been unsuccessfully trying to breed hybrids in my newest town for a while now. I've done everything correctly and how I've always done in other towns, but hybrids never show up (at least not the ones I want, I've gotten some accidental ones) and I'm wondering if it's because I'm trying to get too many *types* of hybrids at once?

I'm currently breeding:
r x w roses for pink
r x w carnations for pink
b x b roses for blue

but I also have rows of alternating red/white cosmos and red/white tulips, and a few of my cosmos have produced pink ones, though these I have as paths and not for the purpose of breeding.

It it possible that the game is somehow confused by trying to grow so many at once that none pop up? Should I try to do less at a time?

There is no limit that I know of. I suggest not watering all of the flowers every day. Water a few one day. Water a few more the next. I always get more hybrids when I do it that way.

If you're watering all of the flowers for multiple possibilities of hybrids then it'll lower the chances of producing any at all.

I alternate by day. Monday would be for purple pansies, tuesday for tulips, wednesday for blue roses, thursday for purple/pink roses, etc.

Yeah, I don't think there is any limit. The previous posts give good advice but you should also try burying a fertilizer next to the flowers. If I remember correctly it will make a hybrid grow in its place the next day.

I should try that!

There is no limits, I'm currently breeding pink, purple and blue roses, purple, pink, black and orange tulips and blue and orange pansies... sooo.. I think there is no limit hehe! But its weird you're not getting some tho ... :( Do they have enough space to grow?

Yeah, I have a bunch of big open areas for them to grow, and I have them all in grid-like patterns, which has always helped me before.

I will try the watering thing mentioned above and see if it works.
I don't have any fertilizer because I don't have the last store upgrade on that town.

That's a great suggestion about focusing on one type of hybrid a day!
At the moment I've been trying to get all the hybrids at once. I'm still getting about 1 or 2 a day. I think it just takes a while.
Thank you for this thread though! Will try for black roses first now and remove the others until tomorrow :)

No limit according to my out-of-control hybrids, lol. They have taken over all my towns.
