I use the Matsuda method a lot because I can control stuff like Natures and IVs, and it's easy to just cycle back and forth while doing something else. I can't do chaining, I always mess up and hate myself 
Sometimes it does take AGES, but then you can wonder trade away your rejects and get good Pokemon over WT, so it's win-win.
