I've had this game since it released..but I noticed something strange.. Every time I visit a random town Luna picks in the Dream suite, the towns aren't even updated that often. Sometimes I will get a decent town that looks nice, but most of the time it's towns that were updated in 2013. Is it just bad luck? or is anyone else experiencing this?
It's like that with me too. When I was on a dream spree because I wanted the gold badge, lots of the towns were underdeveloped or just trashed. Some were really nice of course, but it's just not the same as some dream towns suggested on here.
Most people probably stopped playing after a while and only updated when they did play when the game first came out and that was it. Some people just updated for the sake of the free bells so I doubt it's any bad luck. Most of the towns would be like that if you choose random.
the majority of towns are from abandoned towns/towns that never was going to be 'completed'/towns by lil kids who saw they unlocked dream suite and decided theyd upload their dream only once
never ever pick a random town or youll be shorted 500 bells lmao
I'm a creep and I read people's signatures on here for dream addresses because I know most people here at Bell Tree have pretty, developed towns. It's just fact. except the cycling towns of course, but that's not their purpose.
Another thing I do is "search by region". I live in Arizona, USA. So I go to "United States" and then pick "Arizona". It comes with a list of the most recently updated towns in my region so I can see if other people in the state I live in have a town as cool as mine. (mine isn't cool lol). I haven't tried with the ones from other countries but like if you live in Canada I think you can check by province and so on.
I've never seen a nice random town! Every time I've let Luna choose the town for me it was bad. I wondered, "Why would any one even create a dream of a town like this?" Then I remember...for the free bells. It's a shame - there should be a way of rating towns with a 5 star system, then asking to visit a random 5 star town. Maybe they'll do something like that in the next AC.
I've only ever went to a random town's dream once.
It was when I first got the Dream Suit.
I was like, I'm sure it will be a terrible town, and it was.
I never did a random one again. xD
Most of them are from late June or July 2013 is because after a month or so many get bored of the game and then just quit. Also, everyone basically forgets, since a. it's not in villager dialogue and b. it's inconveniently located.
That's probably normal if you think about the odds of visiting a town that hasn't been updated in a while. The game hasn't exactly come out last month so some people probably stopped playing already. Other people may still be playing and just not updating their DAs because they forget or because they're happy with that version of their town.
Perhaps "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" should have had a mechanism in place in which no player [Mayor] could establish for one's town a Dream Address without having, say, reached the status of "Perfect Town."
Having the Dream Suite is important. And allowing to access it for visiting other towns is the top reason. But, what I suggested in the previous paragraph might have been a benefit to those who want to do random trips without constantly coming across bare bones-type towns.
I did 20 random dreams and it repeated some of the towns again. I've found a few nice town while spamming the suite to get my dream badge. Wrote the address down and went back to visit when I had more time.
The Dream Suite keeps giving me towns called Hyrule.
I never find any good towns, its almost like every town was made, updated then left forever.. Its sad because this feature has so much potential and why cant we have a favorites option for the dream suite so we can visit over and over without the hassle
