Is the blue flannel shirt rare?

Recently I got the blue flannel shirt from Able Sisters. Since then my villagers have came up to me and wanted to trade it or buy it. Is the blue flannel shirt rare or special, and why would all my villagers want it?

I don't think any certain piece of clothing is particularly more common or rare than the others. They all have an equal chance of appearing in the shop.

I bet they'll just walk outside of their house one day to find all of their villagers waiting for them outside. Every one of them is holding an axe and there is a bonfire pwp despite one never being commissioned. They demand the flannel shirt or they will take it forcefully. The player is then sacrificed either way as they overthrow you, creating a new theocracy.

Sable told me today that they have items for spring now, so I think it's more a seasonal thing than completely random.

Don't think so. Villagers will randomly ping you to buy anything in your pocket. When I go diving, it's always, "Oh my gosh, I've been wanting a seaweed for like ever! Can I trade you for it?" Something like that.
