Is new leaf dead?

If it isn't considered dead yet, it soon will be with the whole 3ds/wii stuff shutting down.
Aside from that I do think it is a good game, if you are into interaction and reaching goals more than decorating. I hope the next AC game will take aspects from both ACNH and ACNL and the villager item interaction from PocketCamp.

Recently restarted my town. Can't find anywhere to join with other new leaf players unfortunately Has it really fell off since the release of NH?

i still play i like it more then acnh and people still do giveaway towns

I say yes ACNL's peak for the most players online was 2013- early 2018. After that the game's graphics seemed to be behind the time for 2018+ and many people just lost interest

I think this game had a good run. I stopped playing around 2017, but today I made a new town just for fun. People moved on to NH, which for some reason I don't feel will last as long as NL did despite all the great new features. There must be at least a small community of people still playing it.

tbh ya bc i moved on when acnh came out bc new leaf, was cool and all but got boring over time when u restart it you have plenty to do

As with any older game, you will always be able to find small communities out there who still play it, if you seek them out. You won't ever see a huge resurgence of it though.
