Is my town just pure small or..

my first town feels small too, but that's because i know my wayaround it like the back of my hand, and i have a lot of paths running through it that is gives the illusion of smallness.

my second town doesn't have paths yet and it feels massive :3

Mine feels "compact" (not small but compact) because it has a clear structure. Maybe you have a similar thing? And other towns feel huge since you get lost in them since they aren't as clearly structured.

I think the smallness you're feeling is due to your familiarity with your town. You know it like the back of your hand.

Whenever I would visit someone else's, I would always feel a little disoriented. I didn't automatically know how to get from point A to point B. That made their town feel larger.

Don't you ever apologise for having villagers that YOU love. It's your town, your villagers, and your choice. If someone else doesn't like your villagers then that's their problem. It's not their town so it shouldn't matter. No villager is "overrated" if you love them because they mean something to you. So what if they're "popular" or if more people have them? They're not overrated because you love them, and that's all that's important. You should never have to apologise for that. Also, your town feels way bigger than mine. Don't worry about it, I think everyone's town feels small to them :3

Lol, I blame the ocean for taking some of the space.
But mine feels huge to me, maybe because my river is near the top.

Aw thank you! Means a lot<3

There's nothing wrong with it, but I'm upset that EVERY SINGLE VILLAGER YOU HAVE IS OVERRATED! Especially Marshal and Skye.

That's really mean. Maybe she has different taste in villagers. Also, they are really hard to get and people charge millions of bells for them. So at least she's accomplished something.
How would you like it if someone said that to you? That'd be like me saying 'I had T-bone and he's a terrible villager. You're lucky to have gotten him because most people would have voided him as soon as he said he was leaving.'
I did that, but I don't rub it in everyone's faces.
If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

THank you so much!<3

Yeah although it does annoy me that the towns are incredibly small, I mean I feel the same way too and loads of other people do too... Yet like you said, whenever I visit other peoples towns they seem so much bigger. I haven't visited your town but the problem with mine is that on the bottom half of my town, below the river, is every single house/villager. There's practically nothing on the top half of the town which is the bigger section, which is incredibly annoying but there's not much I can do really. I don't mind too much though tbh since it's nice having them all in one area. ^^ (and I'll be sure to check out your town in the Dream Suite soon!)

Thank you<3

My main complaint about ACNL (which I completely LOVE, don't get me wrong), is that the terrain seems so small to me after playing ACCF for over four years.

I recently abandoned my second ACNL town and started my third one. This time, the main criterion was trying to find a town that had a lot of space. I think I did, but only time will tell since I just did this on Thursday. I have laid my paths down, and they do make the town seem a little smaller. I suspect that once I get some PWP's going it is going to look even smaller than it does. I have noticed that often the towns that don't have many paths, large flowerbeds, or PWP's look larger to me.

Mine feels incredibly small because of my river, which I think is the main factor is how you feel about your town. I also felt like (and I don't really know why) that having a right-side beach makes your town feel even more cramped. Naturally, my first town had all of these components but I'm too attached to reset...
And that = Second town

But yeah, someone said that it's because we're always in our own towns so I get that, plus I'm always slow when exploring dream towns so they seem bigger.
