Is my campsite glitched?

Hi all!
I'm quite new to the Animal Crossing series and got New Horizons 2 weeks ago. Needless to say I made a lot of progress.

3 days ago Isabelle announced that there was a new visitor at the campsite. I went to see who it is, it was Hippeux. Talked to him a bit then continued about my day.
The next day Isabelle said there was another new visitor. I checked, Hippeux was still there. It's the same story for today as well. Can anyone help or is this just a part of the game?
