Is Minecraft Worth It?

I'm just curious. I'd like to play Minecraft on multiplayer and use Tekkit, but I just want to make sure it's worth the price, because my mum would not be happy if she bought me something I don't use. Or is it worth buying a gift code to use from a GameStop or something?

I'd say it's worth getting. The only reason I don't play it as much is because of how slow my operating system is.

I'd say it's worth it, I go on and off on singleplayer but I do love building in creative mode.

Multiplayer is also nice, there are some great mini-game servers out there.
