Is it worth it to have a fruit orchard?

I love fruit orchards! I used to have one with 5 of each fruit tree, but it was taking up too much space. So I reduced it to 3 trees of each and now it looks much better c:

I think its definitely worth it! You can use it to make some more money on the side or for gifts to villagers. It can also look really pretty depending on how you implement it.

I have a small orchard with 3 trees per fruit, I like to have it for DIY's, gifting, and I'm moving some rocks around currently. I think the orchards look cute but I definitely prefer the smaller ones :')

edit: I definitely have 4 trees per fruit and not 3 whoops

personally, i just don't understand massive orchards, but to each their own! for my purposes, i like have different trees spread across my island and then a small 1-2 of each tree in a central garden plot. more than 2 and it starts getting too large and makes me feel like i'm taking up too much space on the island. i always think of it like the fields in harvest moon: a wonderful life, sometimes the smaller field is nicer!! 😂

I don't like them at all. I don't mind having one but big, humongous types are too invasive unless that's a look you're going for.

I just rather not give up space for a bunch of fruit trees. I shoved my small, puny one in the back of my island. It's funny because I've had people ask me if I need fruit and I'm like, "huh?" lol

Keep some fruit in your storage for DIYs if you find suddenly the need to craft 500 fruit infused dispensers.

but if you don't use it and don't like it aesthetically, then maybe think about spreading your fruit trees out or taking it down.

Honestly, they are only worth it if you actively collect the fruit every three days and frequently travel to other islands to sell them or if you have small orchids for aesthetic reasons. Personally, I am a fan of *very* small orchids (bunches of 3 to 5) scattered across a town/island. Otherwise, I do not care much for them.

In the beginning I wanted to make one, but it never came so far. And now I still don't have it and I don't really care. My trees are just scattered over the island and I know where to find a certain type of fruit. Not that I really shake my trees anymore... unless someone here on the forums is searching for some fruit to start so I can give it away :)

I have a somewhat small orchard with 5 trees of each fruit. I only use the fruit for gifts or more commonly crafting materials, but mostly i just like the look of it :)

if you don't have any reason for an orchard, tho.... then get rid of it, use the space for something cooler, i guess. tho personally i think a well-laid out orchard is very pretty : 3

I have one, but funnily enough hardly use it. I feel shameful to admit that I forgot I even had one!

I think so, yes!
I got most of my money from fruits early on, now I keep it because it looks good in my farm area

Technically, blue roses are a much more space efficient crop that's easier to harvest if you're trying to make bells. You can have a 10 x 10 garden of blue roses and pick them for 100k every other day which is enough to pay any moving expenses, and they only take up 10 inventory slots, so you don't have to worry about making multiple trips even with a large garden. There are other reasons to have fruit trees as others have stated.

i have a small orchid and 7 of each tree except my native fruit which i only have a couple. this gives me enough each day of a single fruit for both my characters to gift the villagers and rotates and regrows nicely

I have two mini orchards of three of each fruit. I rarely shake them, preferring to keep them for looks.

I usually take an mystery island trip a day, since I have plenty of miles, to farm resources. Harvesting coconuts gives me enough to gift the villagers I'm trying to get photos from (that's how I got Sally's).

I could take them down and have the room, but I don't need it, and I might need the fruit some day.

I’ve always thought about doing one but tbh I think I’d rather use the space it would take for something cuter!

I think so. Mine looks nice. I only have 3 trees of each fruit so it doesn't take up too much space.

I have a lot of palm trees though. I use coconuts primarily for gifting.

Money-wise an orchard doesn't make that much of a difference once you move past the beginner stage of the game. To me it would only make sense if you like the aesthetic of an orchard.

I have a fruit orchard and I love it I like having all the fruit trees all together instead of all over the island. I have waterfalls around my orchard too :)

I was planning on having an orchard but when everything was said and done there was just not enough space. So I've just got some Apple trees! And then I use coconuts for gifting.

I have a small fruit orchard just for a place to put a few non native fruit trees. I'm mostly using orange trees and pine trees around my island. So, I made an orchard where I have two peach and pear trees and three of the other non native fruit trees. One peach tree and one pear tree are located away from orchard.
I also like to give my villagers the other fruits when I'm trying to give them a quick gift. I think it's worth it, orchards look really nice!
