Is it worth it to get a PS Vita?

I know there was a topic like this, but I want to ask specifically.

So, basically the title. I love JRPGs and stuff, and it apparently has a good lineup of those, so... yeah! Do YOU like your Vita? Is it worth it?

Also as an added question, do the chat features work to call to from a PS Vita to a PS4?

I could copy/paste my response to the other thread, but I'll just let you read that if necessary. I do enjoy my Vita, I use it nearly daily along with my 3DS and enjoy many of the JRPG released for it. The party chat system does work from Vita to PS4, I'm often notified about friends chatting on PS4 while I play Vita games.

The only good games I can think of for it are Project Diva f and Touch My Katamari.

Yeah, most of my friends are getting a PS Vita, as well as one who has a PS4, so we could all Party Chat. I think the majority of people who get it like it, so I think I'll get one.

The PSVITA is worth it, but there still aren't that many games out. BUT I'LL TELL YOU, THEY'RE BETTER THAN XBOX ONE!

I remember some really nice games like the Wangan Midnight series for the PSP, I wonder will they be remade for the Vita too... :/

It depends on the games you want. That's all it comes down to. Other than that, right now I'd say no.

Also since it's region free you can always import if you want us/eu/japan games as opposing to 3ds (i'm staring at you SMT IV)

Get Demon Gaze, Conception II and the FF X/X-2 ones if you haven't already. Demon Gaze is just.. love.

I got it with FFX and X2, and then got a $50 store card, which I got FF7 with. I still have $40 on my account, still deciding which game I want.

not really.. yeah free games each month but i wouldn't get + just for a few titles like that lol.

If you're into SRPGs then the Disgaea games alone are worth it. I've sunk about 500 hours into Disgaea 3 on the Vita, and I'm looking forward to doing the same when Disgaea 4 releases in a few months. Nippon Ichi has really nice games for the Vita, and I'm excited about Hotaru no Nikki.
Some other great RPG titles are Persona 4 Golden and Soul Sacrifice. And if you're into action, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is a good pick.
So far I feel my purchase of the Vita has been worth it. I just wish more (non-indie) developers would support it.
