Is it worth it to buy a 3DS?

Ocarina of Time 3D is coming out in the next week if you like Zelda games. Also, E3 is in a week so I'm sure there will be a lot of new games being shown off. I say you should get one.

I would say to just have a look to see what games are announced at E3 next week and then decide if it's worth it.
I purchased the Nintendo 3DS as I had saved up enough money for one.

the unwarranted "want" of the system is calling me. i'm going to wait for e3 at least, i think.
i have a computer to upgrade, after all!

It will be worth it when the good games come out, but I really wanted it as soon as it got out so i got it.
If you are anxious to get it, then think about it before you spend your money, but i doubt you will regret it.

It's going to have alot of third party support, as well as the usual quality you'd expect from Nintendo themselves.

Same boat here pretty much. I mean yeah, I got a couple third party games but none of really stellar. Ghost Recon is boring, the LEgo games are well... Lego and I find more exciting on consoles, and Rayman is apparently just the original.

Probably, I'm waiting until release dates for other 'big' titled games are announced then I'll be able to make a judgement on when to get one, so it depends on E3 for me.

In this economy, I doubt it. Plus, the prices for the old DS's haven't gone down much.

There are no amazing games out for it right now. And Zelda is 10 years old...

I have been on Nintendo of Australia's website and it says that Australia is getting the game on June 30th.

I got it, but right now I have Tom Clancy which is good, Rayman which is...meh and I end up just playing Pokemon Black on it which isn't even 3D (yet)

If remember right, they said the current 3DS is already "light", and they don't plan on making a "lite" version.
