i lost one of my dreamies, marshal, yesterday in a TT accident.:(:(
i have a friend holding him, so should i cycle through 16 villagers to get him back, or get a new villager?
(i have 9 dreamies in my town btw)

I wouldn't recommend it. When you get the tenth villager in, it'll be nearly impossible to get them out, so unless you're willing to sacrifice your other nine dreamies, I'd go with another villager you like.

thank you, ill wait to see what some other people say, i also had one of my friends dreamies in my tent, and their moving in, i haven't saved yet, but i did do a lot of progress today, should i reset or keep him and use the ignore method to get him out?

It might work? I'm not entirely certain. Either way: good luck with getting him back. I hope you manage to do it without having to give up your other dreamies.

ill try my best! i really need confirmation on this though.
Thank you guys!

does any one have tips? ive read a lot of threads about cycling villagers but none helped/ seemed safe.
i might just use the ignore method...

its really your choice, but because the majority of your villagers are dreamies, i would avoid the hassle. i lost fang recently and i was thinking about cycling also but instead i just replaced him with chief. pretty happy with my decision there haha

cycling is most efficient when you dont care about the other villagers in your town. so if i were u, id peruse some other villagers and maybe just replace marshal. but if u want the challenge, go ahead and try cycling! theyre all just pixels anyways ;p

good luck!!

also: i suggest ignoring, not befriending. befriending takes WAY more time. ignoring gets em out real quick from my experiences with it

Ignore. But when I say ignore, even in campsite don't talk to them.Pick them from other void if you have already 9,but when they come, don'talk to themeven if they "ping"you. They will move out, annd might Isabelle don't say it to you?

Or become friend with they.Is strange, but more friend you're with a villager, more chance of getting it out.One of my friends haved got Doc and Olaf, and 9 month of ignoring-she sayed-nothing,2-3 weeks becoming friends with them and they moved out. So you will get 16 out very fast.

A user is holding my Gabi,so I'm cycling 16 out too!Good luck~
We(because you for Marshal I for Gabi are cycling out 16)can do it~

I think it's worth it if you're perseverant enough! :) I recently lost Cookie when I was just about to completely finish Marshal's cycle (ironically! haha) so now I have to do another. ^^; It's quite annoying since from there I would have acquired the rest of my dream villagers, but I think it's perfectly worth the wait if you really want them in your town!

Personally, I don't TT anymore (I only did in City Folk) but if you're up to it, carefully do it. I naturally cycle and have played in my town in real time. If you want to naturally cycle it will take months, but if you find a safe method to TT cycle, you should go for it! I can't say how long that will take, though, considering that I've never done it.

Like Kiki said though, if you want to you could also replace Marshal! It might be difficult at first but you might end up liking a replacement. :)

i might replace him, but i might cycle, i asked hamlet to move in my town so i could start, should i keep going?
(im horrible at making decisions)

If you really want him back and you are willing to have any other villagers potentially leave your town, then I say go for it. But yeah, if one of your other dreamies leaves in the process, it will suck. That happened to me and then I had to keep cycling to get my other villager back lol. So if he is worth all of that, go for it!

I'm gonna be real, it's almost impossible to get a tenth villager out. I've tried, and can tell you that you'll likely lose other dreamies in the process. For example, I tried to move out Big Top, my tenth villager, and ended up losing my dreamie Walker - it wasn't worth it in the end! Not only that but I was cycling for at least an hour, naturally (day by day) and I still missed him pinging me.

I would say, as much as you love that villager, just let it go. There are plenty of other villagers that are just as good and you can keep a picture of your old one in your home so it's like they're always with you I̶'̶m̶ ̶a̶ ̶h̶u̶g̶e̶ ̶c̶h̶e̶e̶s̶e̶b̶a̶l̶l̶

I'm playing with the same thought (well, my daughter is ---> Tasmania); but she has one or two villagers that she would be able to give up, so when she has the patience for it, I would say: go
