Hey everyone! Might sound like a silly question, but I know some people have had problems with houses not being correct when they replace a villager with an amiibo card villager. Is that only an issue if you time travel? I'm not a time travel player. I'm wanting to replace one of my starter villagers with an amiibo, just want to get the a-ok that its safe to do?

Thank you~

It's safe. I've replaced 2 villagers so far with amiibos. I scanned in Apollo and Jacques. Now I'm on my 3rd amiibo villager, Agent S. No technical issues here. And I haven't TT'd when I did it.

As long as you don't skip days or go backwards you shouldn't have any problems, so don't worry! ^^

yea I think the exterior issues don't have anything to do with amiibos now, they just come from tting
(if you go backwards or more than 1 day forward at a time)

I would like to add though, I believe if you miss the "house construction in progress" day by time travelling or just missing that day, there's a chance the villager's house will look like the house of the last person who lived there, with no way of reversing it other than moving them in and out again.

it doesn't happen that often, and it's completely safe, just a minor annoyance that can happen. also it's basically non-existent for non-tters. just make sure you play on the day before they're unpacking everything to move in

It's safe since you don't TT.

Also safe if you do TT as well. You just need to TT only one day at a time. To be safe, once I've got the villager saying they want to move in, I TT forward one day at a time until they're fully moved in after they've unpacked. Haven't had any issues with the exterior.

Wow thank you for this, even a small risk is a risk so I'll definitely be playing each day!

Thank you to everyone who responded, I scanned one of my Queen's, Opal!

It's always been safe. Invite away. The house glitch was due to TT'ing backwards

I have 3 amiibo villagers rn and I have no issues with them, and I did TT to get them to move in faster
I did only TT forward though, never backward while a villager is moving (in or out)
