Is it possible to move a villager out, then back in immediately after?

My Audie has the exterior house glitch (she has the wrong house exterior.) I am thinking of trying to get someone to take her from me, then I immediately take her back. Will this work, or is there any kind of check to prevent you from getting the same villager back right away? Thanks to anyone who knows.

It will work. There is no 16 villager cycle like there was in New Leaf.

I change what amiibo villagers I have all the time, I can boot them out and scan them back in right away if I want.
