Is it possible to have a 5-Star town with over 190 trees?

Basically, I've been hitting "there are too many trees," when I still have so many areas I want to add trees to. And so I was hoping someone could point me to the size of the "too many trees" penalty, in the hopes that I might be able to counterbalance with other things; if it's a flat "You can't have 5 stars/star penalty," I'm just going to have to figure out how to do a woodsy area without quite so many trees while I wait for all the Lilies of the Valley that I'd like.

i read somewhere that the tree limit is 220 so as long as you have less than that, you should be okay

You can use tree standies they actually look kinda good? I made some cherry blossom design by my shops. It's not the same but...
