is it possible to get two of the same villagers??

lets say you have kiki, and you go to another town with kiki and she is moving and you ask her to move your place what will happen?

explosions?
paradoxes?
nothing?

I've seen a few threads where villagers who already live in the town move in to the campsite; it's cool and all, but that's a glitch of some sort, and either way they don't ask to move in. It'd be cool if you could! But you'd glitch up your game and idk, I've lost save files to that sort of thing. I'm not about to risk it.
