Is it just me or in new leaf, villagers are outside more? I remember in city folk villagers are inside and I liked it better. Are villagers outside more in new leaf? :(

I'm confused, you're saying they're the same? Or did you mean they're inside more in City Folk?

Well I have a night owl ordinance because I play at night mostly. Theres no one inside during the day but a generous amount at night

Yeah seriously. I feel like they're outside a lot more than in cf. I kinda like it though.

Yeah my villagers are never home. I think there's maybe 1 villager out of 9 who is but it's rare.

Not really, sometimes I feel like some days the majority of my villagers are inside, and other days they're outside more. But I do notice they stand there like statues a lot more compared to WW when they walked around a lot more.

I think it's balanced :P
however, I never saw two villagers talking to each other other than the singing thing they do

I find that most of the time they are outside but usually 1 or 2 people inside 3-4 in the city, however in the GC version I had some hermits and some who refused to ever go inside XD. With new leaf I find it's predetermined by saving and quitting. Simply save and quit and bam they shuffle their positions. Though the pattern is roughly the same.

I never played city folk, but I noticed in this NL that I have some villagers who seem to almost never leave their houses and some that are never IN them. It seems pretty balanced to me though. -shrug-

Definitely has more interaction with players. I remember in WW, villagers would stay inside if you did something like TT. I used to TT in ACNL and lots of villagers still lurk around outside.

This is how it usually is in my town as well. It kinda annoys me that they are outside all the time. It makes them so much harder to find! XD

I think most of the time there are two villagers in their houses and the rest is outside or on main street

I've noticed that too, and what makes it worse is that not only are the majority outside but they can also be anywhere from shops, the museum, the beach, the cafe, etc. and you have to search EVERYWHERE just to find them. Ugh. -.-

I think it's balanced. Most of the time, half of my villagers are inside and the other half are inside. It's only on some days that most of them are outside. I don't mind it either way, because while I love hanging out with them indoors and checking what their houses look like (plus, I've been resetting to get a villager to put up a music box in their home and it's taking forever because she seems to love the outdoors), it's neat to randomly run into them. I'm also lazy, so when I'm in a hurry, I like to find villagers who live in more remote areas of my town hanging out near the others, so that I don't have to go visit them on purpose.

I wonder if it depends on personality types, too. My Normals and my Jock seem to be outside a lot more than the others.

I have one to two inside most times. Some days I have no villagers inside.
Start the game up and 4 are walking outside and the another one show up later.
The rest are hiding in the museum, shops or caf?. The place you go the most they show there.
During the winter Iggly didn't come out to play a lot. Found him hiding in the museum a lot.
