Is it just luck... Or more

So I started a new town, and decided that I would not choose villagers... But would just have a good map....when I finally got one, it had lolly, Rudy, Carmen, bob and Blanche who I love all of
Then today I was resetting so I got a villager on the villager side of the bridge, the other has all of the building... And I was gonna take the first one on the right side.... AND IT WAS JULIAN, I said to my self that I would keep all the villagers I originally got and they are all good ( I'm not a big fan of Julian though and he is in my other town)
Should I just continue and what is happening... Have you ever had a lucky streak?

i would continue on unless you don't have many bells or you don't care about their house placements :3

In this case it sounds like you would be better off continuing on until you get a map that you love. You already have Julian, don't care for him much, so just keep on keepin' on. Good luck with finding the map that strikes you just right and good luck with your starter villagers!

I had no idea you could pick starter villagers but in any case, if you don't care for Julian then I don't think you should feel like you have to keep him, unless you want to sell or trade him with someone.
