Is it better to TT backwards or forwards?

Spooky.

I can't stand the fall/winter seasons in new leaf, and wanted to go back to spring so I can work on properly landscaping.

I know TT backwards only counts as one day, however, I'm debating if I should TT back or forwards in general. Like which would be a better idea in the long run, if that makes any sense x-x Just which is a better idea, to be ahead in 2018 or behind in 2017.

I hope I was clear, I haven't had enough coffee today rip

Update!
I TT'd backwards two days at a time twice, then three days at a time. On that third TT back, Tom pinged to move out, and I said no. After that, I successfully TT'd back to Feb. 25th with no move-outs. Ahh, the fresh green grass is so nice. I'm much more inspired to landscape already.

I dunno if i'm right but TTing is pretty risky in general, but i'd TT backwards. seems safer for some reason

I'll end up messing it up, no matter which direction I time travel in. But if I were to TT, I'd likely go backwards because if you go forward, villagers move out and you might end up losing a villager you didn't want to lose. And since you don't like the fall/winter in the game, you'd be traveling to February 2018 or back to at least June 2017. That's a pretty far jump.

But to answer your question, I'd go backwards not fowards.

I've never had issues with TT in general but I guesss back would be better.

I'm tting back to june/july because I missed it trying to get a string of unwanted move ins out.
I tt back about six days, see if anyone will ping me, squelch that and tt again.
I'm probably doing it the hard way though.

Time Travel backwards is better, in my opinion. If you Time Travel backwards, you don’t risk the chance of missing things in the next year. For example, if you time travel to next year for your birthday and you time travel back after that, when next year actually comes, you won’t get a party as you already 'used' it. Tell me if that doesn’t make sense...

i too am in the "time travel backwards" camp. less risky. plus, i dunno, playing day by day in the future would feel out of sorts to me somehow...

TT backwards for sure. I'm in the same boat as you. I absolutely hate winter and the snow always ruins my dirt paths. I'm staying in the month of October for now until I finish my landscaping. I usually TT 1 month (or 2) backwards and then play day by day until it's 1 month later again, then I repeat the process. I do this until I'm done with my landscaping :P I'm tempted to just TRY and survive the winter by playing every day because it will annoy me to no end that I'll be in the wrong year, but i find the snow and gloomy weather so off putting :<

Yeah, I think I'm gonna go backwards, as I'm pretty sure it only counts as one day forward, right? Though just to be safe, I'm gonna wait until a villager pings to move before I actually try going any large amount of time. I might go back a day or two at a time but not months at a time until I know I won't lose anyone, as all my villagers are permanent now.
I took months off of AC and chose one of the worst seasons to restart, as fall looks horrible in game. It's so beautiful in real life too but in new leaf everything just looks dead. Winter is pretty awful too because you see all your dirt patches so clearly and it looks really bad. I still don't understand why the snow would randomly not cover those areas, but. Eh.
