So tomorrow I'm gonna get a 3dsxL and the game for free (a promotion thingy)

Is it worth it? Like right now Im using a normal 3ds and I was wondering if it's worth getting the 3ds xL.

What do you prefer? Is there a massive difference?(apart from size)

Thanks:)

Well I got the 3DS XL Animal Crossing special edition and my friend got the normal 3ds. Tbh the only real difference IS the screen size. I guess things like bugs are more visible because of the size.. o3o
But what I find in GENERAL the 3ds xl is better with other games for many other reasons.
You could have a look at videos comparing before you buy like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LM_6fknVd40
Good luck with whatever you decide to do!:')'xo

As said before, not much difference apart from size.
Be cautious though. Even though the 3DS XL's screen is bigger, the resolution is not. It's the same amount of pixels- only larger.
So if you like seeing your pixels, go for the XL. But of course.. That's up to you ;)

The difference isn't really noticeable unless you play a DS game using the full screen, and you can shrink the DS games down so they don't look really pixelly.

And it's just easier to see things on the XL with the larger screen size. I also prefer the matte finish of the 3DS XL to the glossy finish of the 3DS. Both acquire grime over time, but at least fingerprints aren't as visible.

I have a pink/white XL and a midnight purple 3DS (which I need to sell already, I keep forgetting).

Do you have issues with hand cramps whilst using a normal 3DS? That's the main reason I'm wanting to upgrade once I have the money; I cannot play a normal 3DS for long periods of time. However, I tried an XL and it's much more comfortable.

I have really small hands but xD

I love my 3DSXL. I have small hands too and it's more than comfortable for long gaming sessions! I don't notice pixellation (I used to play the regular sized 3DS when I worked in a toy shop at quiet moments and the XL is far better, despite playing both), but as said, keep your regular DS games in the DS, they look horrific!!
