Is Clover Weed?

Is clover considered as weed in-game and affect your perfect town status? I was never too sure about this. Would like some clarification on this matter

I don't think it counts considering Weeding Day didn't include my clovers.

Clovers do not affect your perfect town status. I let them grow in my town and still had a perfect town rating.
